Our current focus
As a management holding, LIFT Air GmbH coordinates all aviation activities of the LINDIG Group.
HORTEN Aircraft GmbH is fully dedicated to aircraft without a classic fuselage and tail unit - the so-called flying wing aircraft. Based on decades of development and multiple predecessor models, HORTEN Aircraft presented the HORTEN HX-2 demonstrator aircraft in 2019. HORTEN and LIFT Air are currently preparing the series development of a flying wing aircraft for general aviation.

LIFT Air is convinced that fleets of unmanned cargo aircraft will transport time-critical freight for industrial applications - and do so faster and more sustainably than existing logistics solutions. Under the brand Winglift, LIFT Air develops aircraft with transport capacities of 75 to 350 kg - counting again on the efficient flying wing concept.

Our Experience
The LINDIG Group's entry into aviation began at the end of 2015 with the acquisition of a majority stake in HORTEN Aircraft GmbH and its relocation to Eisenach-Kindel airfield. In the following years, the HORTEN HX-2 flying wing demonstrator was designed, built and successfully tested. It is the foundation of HORTEN Aircraft GmbH's future.
Becoming a shareholder of GGC GmbH at the end of 2016, we attempted to position a gyrocopter with highly innovative technical solutions in the higher-priced segment of the market with the newly developed Rotorvox C2A gyrocopter. The market developed differently than expected in the following years, so we decided to discontinue Rotorvox activities.

At the end of 2017, LIFT Air facilitated a new start for Flight Design general aviation GmbH as the new major shareholder. We were able to contribute to the development of the new F2 series, which succeeded the CT series – sold globally in large numbers. The F2, which was also implemented as a battery-electric version F2e right from the start, was enthusiastically received by the market. However, the loss of the Ukrainian production facilities due to the Russian invasion put an end to the successful increase in production. Following intensive efforts and initial successes in establishing new production capability in the Czech Republic, the LINDIG Group is no longer involved in Flight Design since the end of 2024.
